Concepts/General Rule of Thumb/ Tips

• You as the owner must follow the process that you expect your team to follow
• Retrain team members if you need, this will determine if their in it to win it or if they are just here for the short term
• "And when you see your employees ignoring your SOPs, that is a sure sign the SOPs aren't working. The goal of every organization should be to seek constant efficiency and improvement" - Run Like Clockwork (pg. 103)
• You may think that you don't have systems in place, but you do... their just all in your head so we need to find the easiest way to get them out of your head
• We need to ensure that your core processes and SOPs aren't client specific but get you almost there and then the team refers to the client nuances
• Best way to capture a system is to capture it while you or your team are already doing it
• Create video recordings or even consider using the resources from the tech you use (and their videos too)
  • Don't try to get it perfect in order to get it off your plate, just capture it and hand it off
    • You'll never find the time to do things perfect so stop trying to be perfect

• Film a video of you going to the decision tree result and pass along to someone else on the team to perform the work

• Concept of when someone has the question, they have to come with 1-2 possible results and how they came to that conclusion and ensure they check their resources before asking

• When it comes to training your team, you get to a point where you no longer have the want or time to train new team members so how can we make it less about having to show up and having it prepared in Notion and instead of having to set it up, it's already structured in Notion
